Our Story
We began in 2011 after a boys soccer team saw the effects of malaria on those in Zambia. Since then, we have been striving to help end malaria and save thousands of lives by partnering with Jubilee Center, World Vision, Nothing but Nets and PepsiCo Showdown to distribute these life-changing bed nets.
So far, we have been able to
Sell over 10,000 Night of Nets Shirts
Raise over $150,000
Provide over 25,000 bed nets for families in Zambia
Malaria: What We’re Up Against
-
Malaria is a parasitic disease spread through the bite of a female mosquito. It is most common in tropical and subtropical countries.
-
Malaria symptoms usually begin a few weeks after a person is bit by an infected mosquito. The person will then begin to feel very sick with a high fever, shaking, and chills.
-
Nearly 290 million people are infected with malaria each year and over 400,000 people die from the disease. 94% of these deaths occur in Africa, most commonly in children five years old and younger.
-
The places where malaria is most common are:
Sub-Saharan Africa
South and Southeast Asia
Central and northern South America
Pacific Islands
Those most at risk from malaria are:
Younger children/infants
Elderly adults
Pregnant women and their unborn children
Travelers from areas with no malaria
-
We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
-
The bed nets we are helping to distribute in Zambia prevent mosquito bites while people are sleeping. Because mosquitos are highly active at night, these bed nets are crucial for preventing Malaria.
